should I do when my MP3 Player is recognized as STMP3500
While
in Recovery Mode MP3 Player can be
recognized as STMP3500 - Player Recovery Device. Found New
Hardware Wizard will ask you for the drivers.
They
should be already installed in your system [default location C:\Windows\System32].
When
you cannot find them in your system, the best you can do in this
situation is to disconnect your player, download appropriate driver
for your player and install it. After rebooting your system
[Microsoft Windows 98SE/Me/2000 only] put your device into Recovery
Mode and proceed with the Firmware
Upgrade.

How
to install core drivers manually?
After
download you have to install drivers manually. Go to My Computer
> Properties > Hardware Manager > STMP3500
> Driver > Update Driver.
Click
'Next', find requested driver file StMpRec.sys
or/and StMpRec.inf [depend on operating system you have]:
Click
'Open' and follow the instructions on the screen. After installation
you can proceed with Firmware
Upgrade.
